Alessandro Canovi: The challenges of Italian football and France's domination at the World Cup

Alessandro Canovi, a famous football agent, commented on the current situation of Italian football, expressing his concern about Italy's lack of participation in the World Cup for twelve years. According to Canovi, this is a structural problem because young players do not have appropriate conditions for development. Although Canovi has a high opinion of Giovanni Malagò, president of the Italian Olympic Committee, he believes that if Malagò does not succeed, Italian football could be on the verge of collapse.  Canovi also turned his attention to the World Cup, emphasizing that the French national team stands out from other teams. According to him, the French have the strongest squad and their 22 players are more impressive than any other player. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi continues to impress with his play for the Argentine national team. The agent also highlighted the problems Italian clubs have in competing with Premier League teams due to financial differences. Italian clubs need to be creative in the transfer market. Finally, Canovi expressed curiosity about the future of Milan, which operates without a traditional sporting director, and the future of Thiago Motta, who Canovi believes may return to coaching.
