Curtis Jones on the verge of transferring from Liverpool to Inter Milan

Liverpool are planning a major overhaul of their midfield this summer. As the club is considering acquiring new players such as Lamine Camara, Adam Wharton and Alex Scott, it will be necessary to make several outgoing transfers. One of the candidates to leave Anfield is Curtis Jones. The 25-year-old midfielder, who has a contract with Liverpool until 2027, has previously been linked with moves to Tottenham and Inter Milan. Although no agreement was reached in January, the Italian club are still interested in bringing Jones to the San Siro ahead of preparations for the new Serie A season.  According to reports from Nicolo Schira, Inter Milan and Liverpool are planning another meeting next week to discuss the details of the transfer, including the transfer fee that Liverpool is expecting. It is said that the deal may be worth around £26 million, although the parties have not yet reached an agreement. Despite the differences in valuation, Jones has already agreed to the terms of an individual contract with Inter, which is to run until 2031. Now everything depends on whether Liverpool agrees to the transfer. Jones hopes that under Cristian Chivu at Inter he will be given the opportunity to play in his favorite position in midfield, which was not always possible at Liverpool, where Arne Slot often played him at right back. Liverpool, planning further strengthening, can use the funds obtained from the transfer to finance new acquisitions, which is part of the club's strategy for the next transfer window.
