The midfielder recently reached an agreement with Los Blancos to terminate his contract, paving the way for a return to the club where he began his professional career. According to Mundo Deportivo, preparations for the return are already underway, and Betis officials have been in contact with the player for a long time, despite the lack of formal negotiations. Ceballos' decision to leave Real Madrid brought him one step closer to realizing the dream he had been nurturing for several years. The Spanish midfielder agreed to terminate his contract in exchange for the possibility of leaving for free, removing one of the biggest obstacles that had previously complicated his return to Betis. Although Real Betis has not officially entered into negotiations with the player, talks about a potential return have already been taking place behind the scenes. According to sources, sporting director Manu Fajardo and club advisor Joaquin Sanchez were in contact with Ceballos and presented the conditions necessary for the transfer to be completed. The first requirement was for Ceballos to leave Real Madrid without a transfer fee, which was fulfilled after the termination of his contract. The second challenge is finances. Ceballos would have to accept a significant pay cut, which currently exceeds Betis' pay structure. Although a salary cut is expected, Real Betis is ready to compensate with stability in the form of a long-term contract. The Andalusian team is considering a contract lasting four or five seasons, which would allow Ceballos to return to his parent club and become a central figure in the project. The player already has a clear understanding of the framework Betis intends to propose and signals suggest he is willing to accept these terms. His willingness to leave Real Madrid without demanding compensation is seen as a strong indication that a return to Benito Villamarin has become his preferred destination. Ceballos has also rejected other offers from Europe, including the latest one from Ajax, who were willing to pay Real Madrid around €6 million for his services.
