Erik Heijblok and Liam Helsloot leave Ajax to join FC Porto

Erik Heijblok, an experienced Ajax goalkeeping coach, decided to leave the Amsterdam club and move to FC Porto, where he will work under the wings of Francesco Farioli. Together with him, video analyst Liam Helsloot made a similar decision.  Heijblok, who returned to Ajax as a youth goalkeeping coach after retiring from football in 2015, most recently served as goalkeeping coach for the first team. Now, after eleven years together, he is leaving Ajax to join FC Porto, where he will be reunited with some familiar faces, including assistant coach Dave Vos. Heijblok's departure means Ajax must now find a new goalkeeper coach, with the search already underway. Meanwhile, Liam Helsloot, who has been a video analyst at Ajax since 2022, is also moving to Porto, where he will continue working with Farioli.
