Fiorentina plans for the future: Comuzzo and Fabbian stay, Fortini may leave

Fiorentina is working intensively on shaping the squad for next season. Key talks regarding the future of the club are taking place at Viola Park this week. During the meeting in the United States, attended by CEO Alessandro Ferrari and sports director Fabio Paratici, the following topics were discussed: strategies for the upcoming summer transfer window.  In the context of players who may leave the club, Fiorentina must make important decisions regarding several players who did not meet expectations last season. One of such players is defender Pietro Comuzzo, who is having a season to forget. Despite this, Fiorentina plans to keep Comuzzo and Giovanni Fabbian, who came to the club from Bologna and, despite a poor five months at the club, is to remain in the team. The situation is different for Niccolò Fortini, a young player who had a difficult first season in Serie A. Last year, Fiorentina rejected offers from Roma and Bayer Leverkusen, but Fortini is now no longer considered a non-transferable player. Although no official offers have been received so far, the lack of progress in negotiations regarding a new contract may suggest that his future lies outside Fiorentina.
