The French team honored Deschamps' mother with a minute of silence

 Before Tuesday's training, the French representatives and the coaching staff honored the deceased mother of coach Didier Deschamps with a minute of silence. The coach returned to France for his mother's funeral. A minute of silence was paid to the deceased on the pitch where the French players were to train. The French football federation announced that the family received the sad news about the death of Didier Deschamps' mother on the night from Monday to Tuesday, just after the French national team played a friendly match against Iraq (winning 3-0). France will train on Wednesday behind closed doors and there will be no press conference. Deschamps will also miss the final group match against Norway on Friday.
