Georgiy Melkadze about his vacation in the USA and plans for the 2026 World Cup

Georgiy Melkadze, striker of the Akhmat Grozny team and the Russian national team, is spending his vacation in the United States. The footballer talked about his plans and current activities in New York. "Stanislav Cherchesov dismissed the representatives from the first camp, so we will only join the second one, which will take place in Serbia. I am resting in New York, but every second or third day we play football here. My friend trains with young players aged 16-17, with whom we work together. Yesterday we had classes, and now I am at their friendly match. I share my knowledge with them, which is a big attraction for them. Today I am a coach," Melkadze said in interview for Matcz TV.  When asked if he was going to visit the match between Brazil and Morocco, Melkadze replied: "No, I didn't agree with the dates at all, I didn't plan to be at the World Cup. But it so happened that I ended up here because of the national team. It seems to me that the tickets have already been sold out a long time ago, so I won't be able to take part."
