Gregucci on the national team: "Our movement cannot do without a 'monster' like Maldini"

Angelo Gregucci, former youth national team coach, spoke about the future of the Italian national team in an interview for Kiss Kiss Napoli radio. "The football bureaucracy at this point, in my opinion, cannot do without a figure like the 'monster' Paolo Maldini, because we need him. We need him because he has competence, and I think he is more appreciated internationally than at home," Gregucci said. During the interview, he also touched on potential national team coaches, such as Roberto Mancini and Antonio Conte. “Both Roberto and Antonio are profiles of great value, different as people, different as coaches. However, for me, as someone who deals with it professionally, one more aspect is important, namely the need for a breakthrough in the Italian football system," added Gregucci.
