Iran demands compliance with FIFA rules, and Canada protests against Israel

 Iran's delegation to the FIFA World Cup accuses FIFA of failing to deliver on its promises to provide access to the US for federation members. As reported, 15 representatives of the Iranian football federation did not obtain visas to enter the USA. Among them is Mahdi Mohammad Nabi, who in the past was the supervisor of Iran's team at the World Cup. "We hope that FIFA president Gianni Infantino will fulfill the promises he made to the Iranian national team," Nabi said. Meanwhile, protests were organized in Canada against Israel's membership in FIFA. Activists demanded that FIFA suspend Israel's membership in the organization, accusing it of actions against Palestinians. On Friday in Toronto, a large banner with the slogan "Kick Israel out of FIFA" hung on a World Cup sign.
