Kieran McKenna is leaving Ipswich following promotion to the Premier League

 Ipswich Town have officially confirmed that Kieran McKenna has resigned as team coach after managing to lead the team back to the Premier League. McKenna, who was previously an assistant at Manchester United, was hotly linked with clubs such as Fulham and Crystal Palace during the summer transfer window. But in a surprise announcement on Wednesday, McKenna confirmed he would not manage the Suffolk club in the upcoming Premier League season. Instead, McKenna plans to spend more time with his family and take a break from football before deciding on his next career move. McKenna spent five seasons at Ipswich, during which the team was promoted to the higher league twice.
