Lamine Yamal about the rivalry with Cucurella and the fans' reactions

Lamine Yamal, a rising star of Barcelona and the Spanish national team, gave an interview to El Partitazo de COPE, in which he did not spare words for his teammate from the national team, Cucurella. "I told him he would play in the first match, but in the second he would sit on the bench because I would eat him," Yamal joked, referring to future matches in La Liga.  Yamal also commented on the reaction of fans in the stadiums: "Flick told me that at Getafe Pedri was applauded and that one day it might happen to me too. I told him that me and Pedri are different people. Pedri reminds me of Iniesta: everyone respects and likes him. I am different: half of the people will not like me, the other half will love me. And I like that, that is the beauty of rivalry in football. The fans booed Messi, Cristiano, Neymar, Mbappé... I don't want everyone to applaud me, I feel good about it." Asked about his earlier words regarding Real Madrid, Yamal replied: "No, it's just football. At the end they celebrated the match, but then they lost on our pitch. I didn't talk to Carvajal anymore and I don't talk to anyone from Real Madrid."
