Leeds United have finalized a long-term deal with Fulham striker Harry Wilson, who will become their first summer addition on a free transfer. The 29-year-old Wales international remains without a contract from next week, although the transfer is still subject to passing medical tests and formally signing terms in the coming days. This would be a big boost for the Yorkshire club if it comes to fruition. They competed with other Premier League clubs for his signature. Wilson has been a long-time transfer target for Leeds, who tried to sign him on the day the transfer window closed last year, but the deal fell through. His departure would be a significant blow to Fulham, who have offered him several contracts in a bid to retain him. Last season, Wilson scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 38 appearances in all competitions, averaging one goal every other game. Wilson joined Fulham in 2021 for £12 million from Liverpool. Fulham remain without a manager following Marco Silva's departure to Benfica, but they are in advanced talks with former Liverpool defender and Real Madrid interim coach Alvaro Arbeloa. Meanwhile, Leeds are still trying to sign former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt. The 30-year-old is available on a free transfer but is attracting interest from Champions League clubs. Southampton's Shea Charles is also still on the club's radar. Saints have reportedly rejected Leeds' initial offer of £20m for the 22-year-old Northern Ireland midfielder.
