Liverpool have stepped up their efforts for Diomande

 According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Liverpool have contacted RB Leipzig regarding a possible transfer of Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old footballer has become one of the main offensive targets of the Reds, who want to strengthen their squad with players playing on the wings before the new season. Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Diomande, but at the moment Liverpool seem to be in the strongest position when it comes to acquiring the player. If the talks with the player's representatives are successful, then club talks with Leipzig will take place. Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganés in 2025 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young wingers in Europe. The German club are keen to keep him in their ranks and would reportedly demand a fee in excess of €100 million to consider selling him. Liverpool plan to be active in the transfer market this summer and Diomande appears to be high on the priority list as the club look to transform their attack.
