Liverpool discouraged by Inter Milan's latest offer for Curtis Jones

Liverpool are increasingly irritated by Inter Milan's long-term interest in Curtis Jones. The Italians submitted a second offer of £21.7 million, which was firmly rejected by the Anfield club's authorities. Liverpool does not intend to accept such an amount, especially in the context of rising prices on the transfer market for midfielders. For comparison, players such as Alex Scott from AFC Bournemouth and Matheus Fernandes from West Ham United are valued at £80 million, and Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace even at £100 million. Liverpool believe replacing Jones for just £21m would be a challenge, so any talks are on hold for now. The club still maintains that Jones is worth £35m. Additionally, as Paul Joyce stressed, there are no active talks at the moment to extend Jones' contract with Liverpool, although the situation may change if the player impresses Andoni Iraoli during pre-season, which starts next month.
