Luis de la Fuente praises Marc Cucurella after victory over Austria

Luis de la Fuente, coach of the Spanish national team, after the match against Austria, which ended with a 3-0 victory, commented on the attitude of his team at the So-Fi Stadium in Los Angeles. "I have many reasons to be happy. This victory is of great importance; it was an exceptional success. I am especially happy with Unai Simon, whom I have known since childhood, and his record is fully deserved. We are on the right track, but we need to continue to improve," said de la Fuente.  The coach emphasized that the team is ambitious and constantly strives to improve, even though it has not yet reached its full potential. "Marc Cucurella is a top-class player, he is reliable and reads the game perfectly. We still have a lot to improve, especially defensively. We need to better adapt our pressing, especially at the beginning of the match. We will face a more difficult opponent, which will force us to double our efforts," he added. De la Fuente also mentioned the close relationship with the players, which he had been building since winning the European U-19 Championship.
