Martín Demichelis is the new coach of RB Leipzig

Martín Demichelis became the new coach of RB Leipzig, at the same time resigning from the position of coach of RCD Mallorca. The Majorca club announced that Demichelis will no longer lead the team. RB Leipzig's statement reads: "With Martín Demichelis, we gain a coach who has gained experience in Europe, South and North America both as a player and coach, working at the highest level. His international perspective fits perfectly into RB Leipzig's global direction," says sporting director Marcel Schäfer.  "Martín combines a clear football idea with high intensity and a professional approach. We are convinced that he will bring a new, important impulse to our team and will play a decisive role in the further development of the club." The new coach also spoke. "I was impressed by the conversations with the managers and the sporting vision. RB Leipzig is an ambitious club with a clear identity, excellent talents and the ambition to constantly develop at the highest level. This challenge attracted me," said Demichelis. He also added his plans: "I come with great respect for the work done so far. I want to build on it and continue on this path with the team. I want to shape a team that plays brave, intense and attractive football, takes responsibility and inspires the people of Leipzig with its passion."
