Mason Greenwood targeted by Atlético Madrid: Turkish media report a possible transfer

Mason Greenwood, the 24-year-old Olympique de Marseille striker, is back in the spotlight in the Atlético Madrid transfer market. According to reports from Turkey, the Madrid club is interested in transferring the English player and is planning a meeting with his agents. Olympique Marseille, which paid €26 million for Greenwood in 2026, is aware that it may be forced to sell its star to balance its budget. It is worth noting that Manchester United, Greenwood's previous club, retained 40% of the rights to his transfer, which may be important in the negotiations.  Atlético Madrid is not the only club interested in Greenwood. Fenerbahce and Roma also asked about his availability. Greenwood, who recorded 37 goals and 13 assists in 66 Ligue 1 games for Marseille, is seen as a key acquisition for Atlético.
