Mauro Pederzoli is the new technical director of Union Brescia

Union Brescia has officially announced the appointment of Mauro Pederzola as its new technical director. Pederzoli will take up his duties on July 11, and was introduced yesterday at a press conference. His task will be to coordinate the sports activities of the first team, the scouting area and the youth sector, with the aim of developing a joint and long-term technical project. During a press conference, together with president Giuseppe Pasini, Pederzoli explained what made him accept Union Brescia's offer: "Proud of this great and important responsibility. This is an exciting moment for me, returning home and taking over the sporting reins of such a club is an exciting challenge. I will give more than my maximum, because in addition to professionalism there is also an aspect of heart. I will do everything for this club and for this president."  The new director also emphasized that he accepted the challenge of Serie C with enthusiasm. "I have never worked in Serie C before, but I approach it with complete confidence. I have no intention of retiring, I still have great passion and hunger. At this point in my life, receiving this offer is an incredible stimulus." "We will focus on developing the scouting area and the youth sector, cooperation with everyone will be key. Who decides on transfers? It will be teamwork, processes and shared responsibility. The aim is to constantly develop and never be satisfied with the status quo. No revolution: I am convinced that technical continuity is a great starting point." Pederzoli added: "I know what Brescia is, I know what pressure is and for me it is a privilege. If someone puts pressure on you, it means that you have an important role: it has to be managed and it should be a vitamin, not a sleep aid. I am lucky because I come to a club where key roles are already filled. I know both Ferretti and Collauto: my task will be to fit in, to show that I am here to help and not to impose."
