Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Qatar 3-1 in the last match of the group and finished this phase in 3rd place, which allowed them to advance to the round of 16. Kerim Alajbegović scored a beautiful goal in the 29th minute, and five minutes later the second goal was scored by Mahmoud Abunada, who, however, in this case scored an own goal. Before the break, Qatar captain Hassan Al-Haydos scored a goal, but 10 minutes before the end of the match, Ermin Mahmić made the score 3-1 for Bosnia. "We came here completely underestimated. We're trying to do something great and it's coming true," Barbarez said.
