As many as 22 of the 26 players in this team have played in the Dutch league. The exceptions are Tahith Chong, Juninho Bacuna, Kenji Gorré and Tyrick Bodak, who have never played at this level. Chong left Feyenoord at the age of 17 to continue his career in England, Germany and Belgium. Bacuna made his debut with FC Groningen, and after his adventures abroad, he returned to the Eredivisie, playing for FC Volendam. Gorré developed in England and only played five matches for ADO Den Haag while on loan. Bodak, on the other hand, never played in a match as a professional footballer, although he was in Telstar's matchday squad. An interesting fact is that only seven clubs from the Dutch competition, such as De Graafschap, Feyenoord, Fortuna Sittard, Helmond Sport, Jong AZ, MVV Maastricht and SC Cambuur, did not have players from the current Curaçao World Cup squad in their ranks.
