The summer at Nottingham Forest was full of surprises. Vitor Pereira, who took over the club in February, had the option to leave early before the end of June. Rumors about a new contract for Pereira in May were not confirmed, and there were additional speculations about his possible departure to Saudi Arabia. Now the future of the club is bright: Oliver Glasner takes over.
This is a logical move, especially since there were so many talented coaches available on the market this summer. While Pereira earned a full season, saving the club from relegation from the Premier League and reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, it was not the club's long-term plan.

Glasner is a coach with proven success: he won the Europa League trophy with Eintracht Frankfurt, the FA Cup with Crystal Palace, and last season won the Conference League. His arrival could raise tensions, however, as he has a reputation for being difficult to deal with club boards, which could pose a challenge for Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
The Nottingham club is known for controversy, and the current transfer window promises to be just as exciting. It is expected that Elliot Anderson will move to Manchester City for a fee of £116 million.
