According to TEAMTalk, the English club has been keeping a close eye on the 25-year-old Belgian for 18 months, analyzing his readiness for the physical demands of English football. No official offers have been received at Ibrox yet, but the transfer market is starting to gain momentum. Rangers authorities expect formal proposals soon that will put them in a difficult position. Raskin has become a key player in the team since joining Scotland. His possible loss would be a huge loss for the team. Brighton has developed a reputation for spotting talent before other clubs compete for their signatures. English clubs regularly look to Scotland for technically gifted players, and Brighton have the financial resources to test the resolve of the Rangers management. New Rangers manager Derek McInnes will have a tough nut to crack if Brighton make an offer for Raskin. McInnes cannot afford a poor start in Glasgow and losing Raskin would certainly weaken the team. On the other hand, Rangers management has to think about finances. An offer of £20 million for Raskin would be too tempting to refuse. It would enable a thorough reconstruction of the team, which could better compete with Celtic for the Scottish championship next season.
