Real Madrid have no plans to transfer Rodri this summer

 Real Madrid continues its activities on the transfer market, even though they have already made four additions. The club is still looking for a central defender and a central midfielder. However, one of their long-term targets, Manchester City's Rodri, is currently not in consideration. The Spanish midfielder, who has been linked with Real Madrid for three years, seems interested in returning to Spain. However, his recent cruciate ligament injury and age mean that president Florentino Perez is not convinced to bring him back. Rodri is yet to sign a new contract with City, even though his current deal expires in a year. If he does not extend his contract and becomes a free agent next year, the door to Real may open again, but at the moment the club is not planning a transfer. Other names that come up in the context of Real include Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez, who has expressed his desire to move to Madrid. However, an amount above EUR 100 million may be an obstacle. West Ham United's Mateus Fernandes, Vitinha and Joao Neves have also been mentioned as potential targets, but PSG has no intention of parting with them.
