Real Madrid gives up on further attempts to acquire Julian Alvarez

The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, in line with his election promise, made an offer of 150 million euros for one of the top players on Tuesday. However, as it turns out, Atletico Madrid only received a call from Los Blancos, without receiving an official offer. Many observers consider this step as Perez's electoral gesture. Real Madrid issued a statement on Tuesday evening in which it announced that it had made an offer for Julian Alvarez, but it was rejected, while thanking Los Colchoneros. Atletico responded wryly on social media, calling on Los Blancos to stop 'stealing' their players from the academy. As Marca explains, Real Madrid does not intend to continue trying to acquire Alvarez.  Initially, Real were also interested in PSG players Vitinha and Joao Neves, as well as Michael Olise from Bayern Munich. Alvarez is not a priority for Real, and if he leaves Metropolitano this summer, he will probably go to a foreign club. Barcelona also expressed interest in Alvarez, but Atletico rejected the Catalans' offer, not wanting to sell the player inside La Liga. According to Diario AS, Arsenal are currently best placed to sign Alvarez, especially since PSG ended their interest in the Argentine player last month.
