Russian time limits for substitutions and resumption of play

The Russian Football Association ([РФС](https://www.championat.com/football/ "РФС")) announced the introduction of time limits on players leaving the field during substitutions, as well as time limits on throw-ins and goal kicks. According to the official website of RFS, the changes will enter into force on July 1, 2026, but will already be applied in the 2026 World Cup matches in the USA, Canada and Mexico.  A 10-second time limit has been introduced for players leaving the pitch during a substitution. If this time is exceeded, the replacement player may enter the field during the first break, which will occur one minute after the restart of play. A 5-second limit was also introduced for throw-ins and goal kicks.
