Scalabrelli: "Filippi is safety for Fiorentina. Between Mandas and Falcone, I choose the latter"

When asked if he was ready to replace De Gea, Scalabrelli replied: "I would consider Martinelli, but you have to understand what the club wants to do, although I would give him one more season on loan. Sampdoria is perfect, because it is a place with pressure, then I would bring him back. But he only played six months. Florence has to start well and be part of big teams, so I would bet on important hands. But, for example, with Ranieri, in my time, they decided to focus on young people." Finally, Scalabrelli was asked who he would choose as De Gea's replacement, between Falcone and Mandas: "Personally, between Mandas and Falcone, I choose the latter. I like him, he did great in Lecce, but I saw him many times and I wanted him a few years ago in SPAL. I think he has matured and has the right experience for Fiorentina, it's a good profile. I like Mandas less, but you have to understand what the coach's requirements are.
