Theo Janssen strengthens his role at Vitesse

 Theo Janssen, a former player of clubs such as FC Twente and Ajax, known from the football pitch, is expanding his duties at Vitesse. So far, he has acted as an advisor, but now he will also be co-responsible for the first team. Janssen, who is also De Treffers' head coach and television analyst, will remain associated with Vitesse as a football advisor. His contract has been extended until mid-2027.\n\n"I am happy to continue working with the yellow and black family. In this role I will be even more involved in technical processes," Janssen told the club's Vitesse channels. Joost de Wit, interim CEO, expressed his satisfaction with the extension of Jansenna's contract, highlighting his knowledge and football experience.\n\nVitesse has already started preparing for the 2026/27 season, after finishing last season in fifteenth place in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, partly due to a points penalty. The club failed to qualify for the play-offs, despite being close to winning its fourth title.
