Tom Allen leaves Arsenal - changes in the coaching staff

 Tom Allen, who served as Arsenal's head of sports and performance science, is leaving the club. Allen was responsible for the first team's performance across sports science, physical science, nutrition and performance support. He joined Arsenal in 2017 from Aston Villa. With him, club doctor Dr Zaf Iqbal and head performance coach Sam Wilson leave the club. The changes come just weeks after Arsenal won their first Premier League title in 22 years, despite the team suffering serious injury problems last season, which resulted in the long-term absence of key players. The departures are part of a review led by external medical expert Joaquin Acedo, who has a long-standing relationship with manager Mikel Arteta dating back to their time at Everton.
