 Jadon Sancho has ended his spell with Manchester United in a way that is disappointing to both the player and the club. Sancho was loaned to Aston Villa and Manchester United decided not to activate the extension clause in his contract. The player, who joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021, was to make his debut for his new club in the match against Newcastle on September 16. However, on this day Sancho was unable to play as he was still waiting for the loan formalities to be completed. At Aston Villa, Sancho will have a chance to play regularly, which he did not have at Manchester United. Last season, he played only 41 minutes in competitive matches, mainly due to a conflict with coach Erik ten Hag.
