Victor Munoz joins Liverpool for £34m

Victor Munoz was one of the biggest discoveries in La Liga last season, with Real Madrid and Barcelona keeping a close eye on him. The 22-year-old winger played 36 games for Osasuna, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. He joined the club from Pamplona for EUR 5 million from Real Madrid, and his potential buyout clause was EUR 8 million. Despite interest from Barcelona and Newcastle, Liverpool decided to activate Munoz's buyout clause for €40 million. Munoz is a dynamic winger who is not afraid of duels with defenders. He can perfectly use the space on the wings and lead the team to counter-attack. His dribbling skills are in the 98th percentile among players in his position in Europe. He often carries the ball and his passes are short and precise.  At Osasuna, Munoz found the perfect place to develop, playing on the left wing in a 4-2-3-1 formation. In the match against Girona, he made eight successful dribbles and seven shots. His cooperation with other players, such as Javi Galan and Ante Budimir, was crucial for the team's offensive play. Munoz can also operate in tight spaces and quickly move the ball to the other side of the pitch. His speed and ability to change direction make him dangerous in any offensive situation. Liverpool appreciate his ability to break down opposition defenses, especially those that dominate possession. Even though Munoz sometimes overshoots his long shot attempts, his offensive freedom and creativity are valuable.
