Diomande 'expects to leave' RB Leipzig amid interest from PSG
Yan Diomande expects to leave RB Leipzig amid interest from PSG and Liverpool, focusing on the World Cup with Ivory Coast.

Yan Diomande has revealed that he expects to leave RB Leipzig this summer as his transfer rumors continue to grow. The teenager has attracted alleged interest from European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool after a successful season with Leipzig. Diomande directly contributed to 20 goals (12 goals, 8 assists) in 33 Bundesliga matches in the 2025-26 season, a tally only bettered by Harry Kane (41), Michael Olise (34), Luis Diaz (29), Deniz Undav (25) and Christoph Baumgartner (21). The winger, however, completed the most dribbles (118 - 50 more than any other player) and completed rallies (104 - 29 more than any other player). Leipzig managing director Marcel Schaefer previously stated that the club intends to keep Diomande for at least one more season, but the striker has other plans. “First of all, as I said, my dream is to play for my national team and create history with my country,” Diomande said. "I don't have Instagram anymore, I don't have TikTok, so I can't see anything, but of course I expect to leave [RB Leipzig]. I have an agent who will take care of the rest, but the most important thing for me right now is to focus on the World Cup with my national team and make history with them." Diomande's profile was boosted at the 2026 World Cup after he helped Côte d'Ivoire reach the knockout stages. Diomande became only the second African player in history (since 1966) to finish with 10+ dribbles (10) and 10+ chances created (10) in a single World Cup group stage, after South Africa's Quinton Fortune in 2002.
