Josko Gvardiol is close to extending his contract with Manchester City

One of the biggest transfer topics regarding Manchester City is the future of Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian defender is a key player in the team that does not want to lose him. Gvardiol is not only an important defensive player, but also plays an important role in the offense, often scoring important goals. Clubs such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona have expressed interest in Gvardiol. However, according to Sam Lee from The Athletic, the player is close to signing a new contract with Manchester City. Despite interest from European giants, Gvardiol feels good in Manchester and is happy with life in the city.  If Gvardiol decides to leave Manchester City, it would be a big blow to the team which, despite having other high-class central defenders such as Abdukodir Khusanov, Ruben Dias and Marc Guehi, does not have a player with Gvardiol's qualities in its ranks. Gvardiol signing a new contract with Manchester City would be a huge success for the club and would solve one of the biggest questions regarding their future this summer transfer window.
