The Czech Football Federation announced on its official website the end of cooperation with Miroslav Koubek, who was the coach of the Czech national team. Koubek, after the Czech Republic's unsuccessful performance at the 2026 World Championships, decided to submit his resignation to the president of the federation, David Trundy. In a statement, Koubek emphasized that the decision was also influenced by the media campaign, which had a negative impact on his work. He thanked all his colleagues and fans for the support they showed the team during the qualifying rounds and the tournament itself. The Czech national team finished its participation in the World Championships in fourth place in group A, scoring one point and having a goal balance of 2:6.
