CSKA coach Igdisamov: I supported Japan at the 2026 World Cup
Dmitry Igdisamov, head coach of CSKA, expressed support for the Japanese team at the 2026 World Cup, even though it was eliminated from the tournament.

CSKA head coach Dmitry Igdisamov said that he supported the Japanese national team at the 2026 World Cup. The Japanese national team lost to Brazil in the round of 16 (1-2).
"I was supporting Japan. It is a very interesting and organized team. France is the favorite. Morocco is also an interesting team. Germany was eliminated, although they have a very good squad. Many surprises, but I will support France," said Igdisamov in a conversation with Championat journalist Vladimir Chetverig.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The current world champion is Argentina. In the final of last year's World Cup, Argentina faced France. The match ended in a 3-3 draw, and the Argentines won in the penalty shootout (4-2).
